"Accelerate Battery Development with Unified Design, Modeling and Simulation"

Wednesday, 7 December 2022, 2pm ET

Our world is becoming more dependent on batteries. The value chain from material suppliers to battery makers to automotive and industrial vehicle developers is under pressure to optimize battery performance for a wide range of conditions while ensuring safety.

However, batteries are high in mass and require rare materials, life between charges needs increased, and questions remain about long-term recyclability. Meeting these challenges requires advanced engineering methods: including chemistry, cell engineering, module and pack engineering.

Join this webinar to learn about the end-to-end solution provided by Dassault Systèmes, which captures all of these scales. Discover design, modeling and simulation technologies ranging from:

  • Electro-chemistry modeling capabilities to optimally design battery materials
  • 1D/system simulation for cells, modules, and pack
  • Full 3D representation of the battery
  • Integration into full vehicle models to simulate vehicle test conditions.

Speakers:

Victor Oancea, Senior Director, SIMULIA Multiphysics Science, Dassault Systèmes

  • Victor leads the R&D strategy for a wide range of multiphysics and multiscale simulation initiatives at the SIMULIA Brand of Dassault Systèmes. These include advances in simulation technology for battery cell engineering, additive manufacturing, micro-mechanics-based multiscale materials, and particle methods for extreme deformation. Victor earned his PhD from Duke University in 1996 in the area of computational mechanics.
