Automated Driving is one of the key innovations influencing the Transportation and Mobility industry and ADAS have become standard equipment for modern cars. This presentation will show how simulation helps with reliable placement and virtual testing of ADAS/AD radar sensor leading to a reduced number of prototypes and real tests. Focus of the talk will be on the solver technology, as well as signal processing of the electromagnetic results to obtain KPIs (Key Performance Indicators). Last but not least, simulation technology will be put into the context of the industry processes by leveraging the 3DEXPERIENCE platform to simplify collaboration between engineers, provide data traceability and perform advanced CAD operations.

  • Dr. Jan Eichler is a Senior Specialist in the SIMULIA Industry Process Consulting team at Dassault Systèmes. He holds both an M.Sc. and a Ph.D. in radioelectronics from the Czech Technical University in Prague. His expertise lies in high frequency applications and EMC/EMI simulation. Jan's primary focus revolves around the rapidly evolving landscape of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and Autonomous Driving (AD) technologies. He is at the forefront of innovation, specializing in the design and placement of sensors, particularly on Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave (FMCW) automotive radar technology.
